Scraps

The pounding in my ears becomes a voice, it tells a story of stolen lives and old lands.
The trees talk in my sleep and rock me in the wind putting me to rest.

I try to close my eyes but they stay open. A glimmer of sight wakes me up again and
shadows chase the way I watch this world.
