MicroTitle Poems

So here’s another batch of poems from my MicroTitles project. If you have a title that you think would make a good inspiration for a short poem then let me know in the comments. You can watch the poems appear (almost in real time) as I write them over on my poetry Tumblr page.

Persuasion – Jane Austen

Farewell My Lovely – Raymond Chandler

The Thirteenth Tale – Diane Setterfield

Journey Without Maps – Graham Greene

Below the Styx – Michael Meehan

A Wise Man’s Fear – Patrick Rothfuss

The Wind in the Willows – Kenneth Grahame

The Black Prism – Brent Weeks

Duplicate Keys – Jane Smiley

Stamping Butterflies – Jon Courtenay Grimwood

  1. Again some clever writing. Love The Thirteenth Tale poem. Forgot to mention these – Lucky (Alice Sebold), Flying to Nowhere (John Fuller), The Go-Between (L.P. Hartley), The Atrocity Exhibition (J.G. Ballard).

    1. Thank you – I love hearing that. Wind in the Willows is one of my all time favourites and I’m currently reading (and loving) A Wise Man’s Fear.
